The Beginning

If you look at my resume, you might be confused. I don't have an Architecture degree. In fact, back in the 90s, I graduated from a University in Germany with a degree in… Agriculture.

The Long Way Home

In 1996, most of my Vietnamese friends stayed in Germany for a safe future. I chose to come home. I missed Vietnam, and I wanted an interesting life, not just a stable one.

Vietnamese agriculture didn't need a German-trained engineer. So I became a tour guide for German tourists. That job taught me everything I needed for today:

Lucky Meetings

Fast forward to 2012. I had a good life and a happy family. That's when I met Mr. G, a German Architect. We had a great trip. At the end, he asked me:

"Xay, you are honest and careful. Can you help my company draw some architectural plans?"

"Mr. G, I like details, but I don't know how to draw. But if you teach me, I will learn."

Learning from Zero!

My team and I spent 2 months struggling with AutoCAD and 3ds Max. We learned by doing. Mr. G taught us the strict German DIN standards. We started with simple PDFs. Now, we deliver thousands of drawings every month.

Destiny Called Again — Saigon, Bali

I love the beach, sea, waves and surf. In 2019, I fell in love with Bali. I'm lucky enough to live between Saigon and Bali. In 2020, Mr. G asked: "Can you do Point Cloud to CAD?" Again, we said "Why not?" We spent another 2 months learning. It was hard, but we did it. And from that moment on, we became experts in Point Cloud to CAD.
